Adventures in couponing, part one

If you look at my bloggin' buddies list, you'll see I'm following LOTS of great couponing and deal sites. These ladies are VERY hard core, and I'm just getting warmed up with my couponing skills. Today I had to run to Publix to get a few items for a gathering at my house tonight. I only wanted 2 things, grapes and cheese cubes. I ended up getting the grapes on sale, used $1 coupon for produce items (from a Publix competitor, they take almost ANY grocery store coupon) and the cheese cubes were on sale (I already knew that from the weekly Publix flyer) AND I had 2 $1/2 coupons. SO, instead of paying $23.24, I paid $12.83. That's nearly 50% savings!!! Go me :)
